Sometimes kids understand emergencies… a little differently. Here’s what happened when one mum tried to teach her toddler about calling 911.
After moving to the countryside, a mother and her three-year-old daughter spent most days alone.
Their home was in a quiet, rural area with no nearby neighbors.
The mother wanted to make sure her daughter could handle an emergency.
She taught her how to call 911 if something ever happened.
To check if the lesson stuck, she asked a simple question.
“What would you do if you found me on the floor and couldn’t wake me up?”
Her daughter paused to think.
Then she gave her answer. “I’d go to the kitchen and eat whatever I want.”
