Missed Delivery

We all know someone who swears they were “home all day” when the postman came by. This little joke takes that excuse to a whole new level.

When I worked at the post office, a woman stormed in, furious.

She waved a red delivery card and snapped,

“This is ridiculous! The postman says nobody was home, but my husband was there the entire day!”

I looked up her parcel, handed it over, and just as she was leaving, she beamed and said:

“Oh, I’m so excited—it’s my husband’s new hearing aids!”

Mystery solved. 😉
