Sometimes, even the best medical advice can take an unexpected turn. Here’s a little story about headaches, prescriptions, and a very unfortunate misunderstanding…
Bothered by continuous headaches, Mr. Johnson decided to seek medical advice.
After running some tests, the doctor gave him a prescription and said,
“These pills are very strong. Take one today, skip tomorrow, then take another the next day, and keep alternating like that for a month. Then come back and see me.”
A few months later, the doctor happened to run into Mrs. Johnson at the market.
“Mrs. Johnson! Nice to see you. How have you been? And how’s your husband doing—did the medication help with his headaches?”
She replied, “Oh… I’m surprised you didn’t hear. He passed away a couple of months ago.”
Shocked, the doctor said, “That’s terrible news. I really thought the pills would help him.”
Mrs. Johnson replied, “Oh, the pills were fine. They worked.”
“It was all that skipping that killed him.”
