My flight was delayed in Sydney.
Due to the necessity of the gate for another flight, our aircraft was moved away from the terminal, leading us to be redirected to a different gate.
Upon locating the new gate, it came as a surprise when we realized that a third gate had been assigned for our aircraft.
Eventually, all passengers successfully boarded the correct airplane, and the flight attendant made an announcement:
“We apologize for the gate change. This flight is going to Brisbane. If your destination is not Brisbane, you should deplane at this time.”
Shortly after, a visibly embarrassed pilot emerged from the cockpit, clutching his bags.
“Sorry,” he said, “wrong plane.”
