As we age, a positive outlook can make all the difference. Larry, an elderly man, goes for his check-up, confident in his strong relationship with God. What follows is a humorous misunderstanding that baffles his doctor:
The doctor says, “Larry, everything looks great. How are you feeling mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with God?”
Larry responds, “God and I are super close. He knows my eyesight isn’t great, so he’s arranged it so that when I get up at night to use the bathroom, poof! The light turns on. When I’m done, poof! The light turns off.”
“Wow, that’s amazing,” the doctor replies.
Later that day, the doctor calls Larry’s wife.
“Bonnie,” he says, “Larry is doing great! But I had to ask you about his relationship with God. Is it true that when he gets up at night, the bathroom light turns on and off by itself?”
“Oh no,” Bonnie exclaims. “He’s peeing in the refrigerator again!”
