Ingredients

For the peanut butter

  • 300 g peanuts, unsalted – roasted without fat
  • 1 pinch of crystal salt

Instructions

This homemade peanut butter only requires two ingredients and 10 minutes of your time. And since it tastes amazing, there’s no reason to keep buying a ready-made product.

Step 1

For the peanut butter, start blending the peanuts with a pinch of salt in a high-performance blender or food processor on a low setting, then slowly increase the setting to medium.

Step 2

Meanwhile, use a rubber spatula or pestle to keep pushing the pieces into the middle (it will gradually become more liquid and then pull the nuts into the middle). The whole process takes about 10 minutes and will get a little warm.

Step 3

Finally, pour the peanut butter into a jar, let it cool and store it in the fridge. The butter will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Step 4

Tip: You can prepare this recipe with any seeds and nuts; sweeten it with yacon or agave syrup according to your taste and vary it with spices such as vanilla, cardamom, chili, cocoa powder, etc.

Note: It is not necessary to roast the seeds or nuts, but this will give them an intense, fine roasted aroma.

You can also try making your own crackers to go with this yummy peanut butter!
