Ingredients

For the lemongrass iced tea

  • ice cubes
  • 3 stalks of lemongrass
  • 10 grams of ginger
  • 500ml + 700ml water
  • 70 g xylitol (sugar substitute)
  • 2 organic lemons
  • 20 g mint, with stem

Instructions

This refreshing iced tea is a treat on hot summer days. It tastes great and is also very healthy because it supports the liver in detoxifying and also stimulates digestion.

Steps 1

Cut the lemongrass into fine rings;

peel and finely chop the ginger.

Then mix both with 500 ml water in a blender.

Then pour into a saucepan, bring to the boil once, reduce the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

Take the pot off the stove and let it steep for 20 minutes.

Then pass through a sieve over a container, stir in 70 g xylitol, fill up with 700 ml water and leave to cool in the refrigerator.

Step 2

In the meantime, squeeze 1 ½ lemons (yields approx. 80 ml of juice); cut the remaining half into thin slices.

Take the cold iced tea out of the fridge, stir in the lemon juice and divide between 4 glasses.

Then add the ice cubes;

Enjoy garnished with the mint sticks and lemon slices.

The colonic was one of the best experience I’ve ever had. Ela was absolutely fantastic. She is very gentle and really professional. I was feeling at ease knowing I was in perfect hands at that time. Later on I was given some good advice about a liver cleanse.
